Start a Feeding Program

If you have a national or international ministry to children and are interested in having a ministry partner to come alongside you for encouragement and financial support, please contact us.

We have a simple relational process:
  • Call us at 865-771-1375 to begin talking about a potential partnership.
  • During that discussion, and as the relationship develops, we will evaluate your ministry and leadership to see if it is a good fit with us.
  • We know it takes a strong level of commitment to make this program happen.
  • Our job is to provide the resources and to teach you how to do it (as needed).

How We Began to Partner in Appalachia

When our hearts became burdened with this area, we went to Mission of Hope because they had done their research and knew all the players. They took us to a couple who has a ministry called Lighthouse Missions. We met and prayed with them as well as shared who we were. We were moved as we listened to their story and what they were called to be about. We decided to spend some time to get to know one another. The next step was to have a special event together. (In international areas, that may not be practical.) Next, we planned another event providing backpacks and school supplies in order to introduce ourselves to the community. The next objective was to start a once-a-month program utilizing local volunteers to do a mini-feeding program providing a cookout lunch, Bible stories, games, as well as teach hygiene and other practical topics appropriate for that area.

We want to build relationship with everyone involved in the ministry--including parents. We’ve seen this approach work time and again. It's critical to involve the parents of the children and people in the community because they’re the ones who can be involved on a daily basis. If we can engage the parents and begin to see changes in them, then children's lives are changed as well.

We're all about seeing lives changed--for God's Glory.
